During your initial TMJ/TMD consultation, you will have a chance to meet Dr. Sarah Myers, who specializes in diagnosing and dealing with TMJ/TMD disorders. To learn more about your jaw joint problem, your dentist in Cary will perform a physical examination on your jaw, neck area, and head to monitor movements and see how your TMJ functions.
Our dentists will also take X-rays and tomographic imaging of your jawbone and conduct a JVA (Joint Vibration Analysis) test to check if there is any noise on either side of the jaw joints. Then they will decide what treatment option is effective for alleviating your pain.
